At Sullivan STEAM Magnet, every child has a place and a voice. Every member of the learning community creates knowledge and applies practices of STEAM to solve relevant problems with project-based learning in culturally sustaining ways. This is possible through the cultivation of strong relationships and collaboration with students, staff, families, and the greater community.
Sullivan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Magnet welcomes students throughout the city. Located in a quiet, residential part of the Longfellow neighborhood, Sullivan is near parks, the Mississippi River and the Midtown Greenway. Each day, teachers engage students in project-based learning activities that encourage them to problem-solve and understand the relevance of what they are learning.
Sullivan's innovative programming provides students with inquiry-based experiences infused with technology, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking throughout the everyday STEAM learning environment.
Our students, parents and staff are proud of Sullivan STEAM. It is a vibrant school dedicated to challenging, supporting and inspiring students to achieve their highest potential. We believe in community values. Accountability, responsibility, follow-through and reflection are key practiced behaviors by all members of the Sullivan community.
At Sullivan, we follow the four B's: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Always Be Your Best!
