• Develop diverse education leaders: We help college students amplify their voices to lead the fight for education justice. Over 80 percent of our members are from low-income families, and sixty-five percent go on to careers in education or advocacy. Our powerful diversity stems from our conviction that the strongest advocates for education justice are students who experienced injustice in the K-12 system firsthand.

• Build campaigns that address the root cause(s) of education inequity, creating a sustained movement for better schools: We organize a membership of young people across colleges and universities in the Twin Cities who develop strategic campaigns to close our nation-trailing opportunity gaps.

• Ensure we remain a community-led organization: Your gift ensures SFER MN continues to be for students, by students. With contributions from a base of grassroots supporters like you, we are making our movement stronger and more sustainable to serve our community.

• Organize our collective power to effect change: Our local coalition has a proven track record of gathering information, building community, and taking direct action toward education equity. We encourage our members to speak their truth and demand positive change in K-12 schools.
