Star of the North Maternity Home

Star of the North Maternity Home helps to fill the dire need for housing for homeless mothers in our northland communities. Our hope is to go beyond housing to transform women’s lives with education, holistic medical card and comprehensive services by partnering with our TFLN collaborative partners. Whether the mother wants to keep her baby or explore adoption, we will be here to support them to independence.

Our Program

Experiencing housing instability can be overwhelming. Imagine what it would feel like if you were pregnant or had an infant to care for, with nowhere to live. Our goal is to help mothers have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Our residences house women while pregnant and after they have their child or are with children up to the age of 10 years. Helping her to transform into a mom, finish her education, find a job, and find transitional housing. Each situation is unique and we will support them in their time of need.
