In Holy Baptism, we promise to “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves” (BCP 305). The St. Edward’s family recognizes the suffering of the world—local and global—and, following the commendation of Matthew 26, we seek to feed the hungry, quench the thirsty, clothe the naked, tend the sick, and visit the imprisoned. We partner our financial resources with our human resources in support of the following programs:
Adopt-A-Neighborhood: Served once a month during the school year at Regency Pointe Apartments in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Minnetonka in Wayzata. Like them on Facebook.
IOCP (Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners): Food shelf collections for our local agency.
Loaves & Fishes: Helps prepare and serve nutritious meals for the hungry in a variety of locations.
EpiscoBuilders: A group of Episcopalians who share their time and talent with Habitat for Humanity building projects.
First Nations Kitchen is a joint project with other Episcopal churches to feed needy, primarily indigenous people in the Twin Cities.
