Helps us end hunger and malnutrition in Chocó, Colombia
Seventy three percent (73%) of the children in Chocó, Colombia suffer from malnutrition and anemia. On 2012 we learned that children between the ages of 5-10 years old had committed suicide because of hunger. We started investigating, and found out that there is a high rate of poverty in Chocó (67%) and high unemployment (60%). We are starting a food bank in Quibdó, the capital of Chocó in the northwest area of Colombia. Malnutrition can be resolved with direct interventions. We are working with the Corporación Casa del Pacífico and the St. Vincent de Paul Foundation to start the food bank. We invite you to donate to our cause, and help resolve malnutrition and anemia in Chocó. No child should die of hunger, and as adults we cannot fail the kids.
Thanks for your kind attention.
