Soo Visual Arts Center Inc

Since 2001, Soo Visual Arts Center has worked with over 3600 artists. With the majority in Minnesota, we have also expanded our reach to include the Midwest, across the United States, and other countries throughout the world. We launch the careers of under-represented and emerging artists through exhibitions, curatorial opportunities, leadership opportunities, and direct experience. 

SooVAC values supporting artists by providing a stipend for their time and work. We support this with a small core group of staff who pour their passions into advising on artists' needs, from reviewing artist statements, feedback on grants, everything they need to know to install a show, and more.

Continuing to adjust to the current economic realities for arts organizations, we are working to upgrade our infrastructure to allow for more time for us to continue to make working with artists our priority. We depend on the support from individuals who allow us to continue to pay artists to share their work with all of us.
