The SAF helps preserve the historic Sheridan Opera House, bring quality entertainment to Telluride, and expose youth to the arts.

The Sheridan Arts Foundation is a 22-year-old non-profit organization based out of the historic Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO.  The SAF was formed in 1991 when the Opera House became threatened by commercial development and has since thrived as a cultural arts center for Telluride locals and visitors.

The SAF works year round producing concerts, a children's theater program (enrolling nearly 200 children a year, producing 3 full-length musicals), a mentorship camp for city children, a Plein Air art paint out and sale, comedy festival, local adult theater and more.  We are an ever evolving organization dedicated to working with other local non-profits and catering to the flow of a tourism driven town.

To date the SAF has spent nearly $1.5 millon on historical renovation and safety concerns, $1.1 millon on scholarships for youth education based programs, and $1.3 millon on rental subsidies for non-profits.  The Sheridan Arts Foundation is here for Telluride community members and visitors, so please help support our cuase today!
