Sheltering Arms Foundation

We have experienced a prolonged period filled with many challenges for Minnesota’s most vulnerable children.  Your dollars will help spark positive change in the lives of children and families throughout the state.   

We ask for your dollars to help us continue our mission of providing grants to non-profit organizations that provide broad and equitable programming and supporting public policies that benefit our most vulnerable children and families throughout the state.  

Sheltering Arms is committed to closing the opportunity gap between low-income children of color and their white peers. Through grantmaking, we support local, community-led nonprofit organizations that break down barriers for these children and their families.

We are:

• Investing over $540,000 to support 50+ non-profits serving over 7000 vulnerable children in the state of Minnesota.

• Advocating at the Minnesota legislature for adequate funding of early childhood learning and youth afterschool programs.   

We continue to be passionately dedicated to:

• Improving access to early childhood education and childcare
• Supporting quality out of school time programs
• Strengthening family relationships
• Supporting advocacy efforts across the state
