Seward Neighborhood Group (SNG) is an independent nonprofit organization that works to make the Seward neighborhood in Minneapolis, MN a more vibrant, equitable, livable, and sustainable community.  SNG is recognized by the City of Minneapolis as the official community participation organization for the Seward neighborhood.

In 2023, SNG was focused on the following priorities:

Outreach to Renters.  SNG and the Longfellow Community Council are partnering to door-knock all 5+ unit buildings in the greater Longfellow community (which includes the Seward neighborhood).  SNG and LCC are recruiting building ambassadors who will serve as a liaison between building residents and their neighborhood organizations.  SNG also supports a full-time Community Facilitator in the Seward Towers East and West.

Support for Community-Lead Initiatives.  SNG provides technical support to community-lead initiatives, including project development, communications, fiscal agency, and funding support.  In 2022, SNG supported Celebrate Seward, a day of music, arts, and community.  SNG also supports the 26th Avenue Working Group (and effort to improve bike and pedestrian safety on 26th Avenue) and 36th Avenue Revitalization and Transformation (36th A.R.T.), an effort to improve 36th Avenue through the arts.
