St. Croix Valley Habitat is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and to making adequate, affordable housing a matter of conscience and action. In 1996, a group of concerned and motivated individuals in River Falls and surrounding communities founded our local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. We are now a thriving organization having partnered with more than 70 families to secure safe, affordable housing.
Our mission is simple; to partner with working families, sponsors and communities to build quality homes in Pierce and St. Croix counties, Wisconsin.
Building in New Richmond
We are partnered with the Flores family, who graciously accepted our offer to be our 73rd Family Partner. Soon they will move from the 2 bedroom apartment they've been renting for 16 years into their own home on Park Ave in New Richmond. The Flores' are a family of five consisting of Alma, Hector and their three boys, each of whom has special needs. They have been incredibly grateful for this opportunity and we have enjoyed sharing this journey with them.
We just selected the family we will break ground with in the Spring of 2022 and are working to develop the funds to make sure their home is affordable as well. We all know what the housing market has done this past 18 months, pricing so many out of the opportunity for home ownership. And we want to do even more!

"Home ownership is about more than somewhere to live. It’s about being able to mark your children’s heights on the wall and know you’ll be able to continue to do so for years to come. It’s about watching your family grow in a home and a community and feel like you have roots and that your children will always know where home truly is". - Homeowner, Amanda Moore (L)
"Owning a home has never been an option for me and my family until I reached out to Habitat. Our lives are forever changed for the better. My children now have somewhere to grow and learn. They have a home that they will forever be welcomed in. To be able to make memories with my children in a safe and secure home is the best dream come true!" - Homeowner, LaNae Dushaw (R)
