Felgemaker Pipe Organ Fund-2022-2023
Sacred Heart Music Center offers an eclectic mix of live music performances in a dramatic, historic setting. Located in Duluth, Minnesota, Sacred Heart is a unique venue for regional, national, and international artists, giving an audience a musical experience that’s both intimate and awe-inspiring.
Sacred Heart has a rich history . The building structure, which was built in 1896, was once the Sacred Heart Cathedral. In 1985, the Catholic Diocese in Duluth merged Sacred Heart’s congregation with another, St. Mary Star of the Sea. That’s when a community group formed to save the beautiful historic space from the wrecking ball, and preserve it for generations to come.
Today, a nonprofit organization continues to fulfill that mission. Situated in Duluth's Central Hillside Neighborhood, Sacred Heart is a true showcase for the arts. It’s home to a recording studio and the historic Felgemaker organ. In addition, new efforts are underway to instill a love of music into area school children through youth outreach programs.
Along with musical performances, Sacred Heart has hosted a variety of other public and private events – even a yoga conference! From weddings and receptions, to parties and meetings, Sacred Heart is available to rent for special events.
A special place in the heart of Duluth. You'll feel the special connection to this space when you step inside!
