SACA Food Shelf and Thrift Store  provides food and resources to those in need while empowering dignity and independence.  During COVID-19, in order to fulfill our mission we need you, our donors and volunteers, to help make sure all of neighbors are fed and have access to needed services.  For every dollar donated, SACA is able to purchase +10lbs of food.

2020 has impacted many of neighbors lives.  More people are relying on community programs than ever before. Your donation can have an immediate impact! Consider donating monthly to help support the many programs of SACA.

At SACA, we serve our community with more than just the distribution of food:

  1. Client Choice Program  -
To give our clients Independence, we use a grocery store arrangement in the food shelf.  This enables those we serve the ability to select the food they prefer instead of being given a pre-selected box.
  2. Thrift store (Open to the public) -
The thrift store is located at SACA.  Our goal is to empower dignity to those we serve by having them purchase clothing and household items at garage sale prices.  All funds go back to purchasing more food.
  3. SACA Delivers - Mobile Food Shelf
SACA Delivers is a volunteer based program that delivers food shelf groceries to home-bound seniors and disabled adults.
  4. Homeless Food  Program -
Our Homeless food Program offers individuals a condensed wholesome supply of food and hygiene products that can be easily carried.
  5. Seasonal Produce Distributions -
During the Harvest season, SACA partners with Second Harvest Heartland to distribute fresh fruit and vegetables to individuals and families within the community.
  6. School Backpack Program -
Our School Backpack Program provides local schools the means to discretely pack weekday meals for students.
  7. Holiday Toys and Dinner Distribution -
The Holiday season can be a tough time of the year. With donations, we are able to provide a holiday meal (Thanksgiving or Christmas) with all the fixings. Parents are able to choose gifts for their children.
