Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School Parent Teacher Organization 
(RSIS PTO) is a 501(c)(3) that supports the student, staff and parent community at RSI.

The RSIS PTO raises funds each year to enrich the educational experience at Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School. Your support helps us bring valuable programs, cultural experiences, and community-building events to all RSIS students and families.

1) Intern Program 
In partnership with the Amity Institute, the RSIS PTO sponsors 8–10 Spanish-speaking interns each year. These interns work in RSI classrooms for the full school year, providing language practice, cultural learning, and meaningful connections for our students.The PTO covers their placement fees, a small monthly stipend, school lunches, and additional program costs. Each intern is supported by two Host Families (one each semester) and two Support Families who connect with them throughout the year.

2) Educational Enrichment 
RSIS PTO funds help bring meaningful and engaging learning opportunities to our students and classrooms. This includes school assemblies featuring cultural music and dance performances, technology tools and programs used across the school (examples from recent years include: RAZ Kids, Science from Scientists, and Generation Genius), classroom supplies, Teacher Appreciation funds, and grants that support a variety of needs and ideas proposed by RSI teachers, staff, and families.

3) School Community Enrichment 
RSIS PTO also supports activities and resources that strengthen our school community. Recent examples include teacher appreciation events, 5th-Grade Farewell celebrations, family engagement nights (STEM Night, Game Night, Sledding Night, Back-to-School Social), maintenance of school flower beds, and support for before- and after-school programs like Spanish Junior Great Books and Fútbol Club.
