Excellence and Equity for Every Student at Riverview

Riverview offers a Dual Language Immersion program, which prepares English-dominant and Spanish-dominant speakers to be fluent in the four modalities of Spanish and English literacy by the end of fifth grade: Reading, writing, listening and speaking in academic and social settings.  All educational activities offer a well-rounded education. Our literacy units are standards-based and developed around science and social studies themes that reflect our students' cultures, backgrounds, interests and learning styles. This provides an integrated approach to education that balances the children's learning experiences with their stage of development. 

Our various community partnerships allow us to offer artist residencies for students. Our music programming through MacPhail Center for Music and the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies offer weekly music instruction during the regular school day as well as before school.
