Rescued Paws Incorporated

Rescued Paws takes care of many elderly and otherwise un-adoptable dogs and also adopts out dogs in need of new loving forever homes.

We are a rescue located in Braham, Minnesota that takes in neglected, abused and unwanted dogs from various animal control facilities and shelters with high rates of euthanasia.  Our primary focus is Rottweilers as they are our first love and have been part of our lives for 20 years.  We are a group of volunteers whose purpose is to protect and care for those animals until suitable homes can be found for them.  We foster animals in our own homes until they are adopted. 

We have self funded our rescue work for many years and continue to do so.  Rescue work can be very expensive due to high cost of veterinary care and feeding of all the animals.  All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and more before placement.  We do not receive federal, city or state funding to help care for our animals.

The reson we started Rescued Paws was because of Emma.  She was terminally ill and was abandoned by her owner.  She was very overweight and had a sever mammary gland infection which turned out to be breast cancer that spread to her lungs.

She was such a wonderful being who lived her final weeks to her fullest.  She loved to be outside smelling everything and laying by the barn watching the cows, goats and chickens.  We were blessed to have her in our presence for 6 weeks.  She changed our lives and we decided to help other dogs like her spend the remainder of their life in a loving, caring environment instead of dying alone and in pain in some place they didn't deserve.
