Repowered (formerly known as Tech Dump & Tech Discounts), a impact driven recycler based in the Twin Cities on a mission to create fair chances for people, planet, and technology.

The US produces the most e-waste in the world, yet only 15-20% is recycled or re-used. Repowered is part of the solution to reduce e-waste in landfills.  We recycle business and consumer e-waste, provide full service data security and asset disposition,  we reduce e-waste in our landfills, extend the life of technology through refurbishing, and change the lives of unemployed adults through our job training program

Repowered (formerly known as Tech Dump & Tech Discounts) responds to needs in the Twin Cities: a place to safely and responsibly recycle electronics and a long-term, hands on training program that pays trainees to gain the skills they need to transform their lives and gain employment.

Any and all donations help advance Repowered’s important social & environmental missions:

• We serve up to 100 trainees per year. Trainees start at $14/hour and work full-time. All Repowered trainees are adults experiencing hardship and barriers to employment: with the majority having a history of incarceration and/or homelessness. Many of our trainees have struggled with substance abuse issues, suffered from a mental illness, and/or were diagnosed with a learning disability.
• While at Repowered, trainees gain valuable skills that are in-demand in today's workforce -- and that translate into diverse job options, including customer service, electronics test and repair, logistics, sales, and marketing. 
• Repowered is fortunate to have received funding from the Constellation Fund, and one of the benefits they provide to their grantees is a Quantitative Analysis Report. This report, among other things, identifies the Benefit-Cost Ratio of an investment in Repowered and our WREs. Our current Benefit-Cost Ratio is $3.05:1, meaning that every $1 invested in Repowered results in a $3.05 impact on our WREs. That ratio accounts for effects including increased earnings and earning potential, increased housing stability, and the value of the skills our WREs gain during their time at Repowered.
