Together we can make a difference, by recycling keys. Got keys?

Keys for Kids is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to inspiring youth through recycling keys and community involvement.

Helping others is hardwired into the heart of humanity, but most of the time, we aren’t sure we have the time, money or resources to do what it takes to make a difference.

Keys for Kids was founded to help others give back to the community, by recycling keys. Keys have been donated to Keys for Kids from individuals, businesses, organizations, youth groups, and schools all across the United States and Canada! Since February 2011, Keys for Kids volunteers have collected, sorted, and recycled 2,275 pounds of keys.

Keys for Kids Key Drives: Keys for Kids supports community involvement from businesses, organizations, and schools within their community by collecting keys with Keys for Kids Annual Key Drive and various key drives all year long. All keys donated nationwide are sorted and recycled by volunteers to benefit kids.

Keys for Kids Annual Key Drive: January 15th, 2015-October 15, 2015 Proceeds of this key drive benefit Keys for Kids Keys Drives such as Students Recycling Keys, Halle's Key Drive, and Tis' the Season Key Drive.

Students Recycling Keys: Keys for Kids encourages students to collect keys to be recycled to benefit their classmates. Proceeds of this key recycling process provide in-school scholarships allowing all children the same opportunities to participate in athletics and fieldtrips or replenish negative lunch accounts. All students are welcome to participate in Students Recycling Keys; youth groups, preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school levels of education.

Halle's Key Drive: Keys for Kids was founded to help others give back to the community, by recycling keys. Halle has a mission because of the wonderful experience Halle's family received from the Sunshine Foundation. It is now her wish to help other families see their dreams come true. Halle is collecting 2,500 pounds of keys until she graduated in 2017 to be recycled to benefit kids’ dreams!

Tis’ the Season Key Drive: October 15, 2015-January 15th, 2016: This year’s key recycling proceeds of this Tis the Season Key Drive benefit Spare Key; each year Keys for Kids chooses a different children’s charity to support. Spare Key’s mission is to pro-vide housing grant assistance to families in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin who have a critically ill or seri-ously injured child in the hospital. For more information on Spare Key or how to get involved, please visit www.sparekey.org.

Community Involvement: Keys for Kids volunteers host various fun raising events involving the community; all at low or no cost to children and their families. Keys for Kids participates in tickets for kids programs allowing us to share the joy of a day at the game. We have shared hundreds of game tickets donated by the Lynx & Timberwolves Foundation and TwinsCare to families and children that would not otherwise have this opportunity.
