We help homeowners in need remain in the homes and neighborhoods they love.
It's not surprising to anyone to say that homeownership is expensive. Maintaining a home takes time, energy, and resources -- resources not everyone has equal access to. At Rebuilding Together Minnesota, we believe everyone, regardless of income or circumstance, has a right to a safe and healthy home. Our work helps make that possible for low-income Minnesotans.
How do we do that? We offer two main programs to provide this work at no cost to our homeowners.
Our Home Repair Program focuses on the critical, functional aspects of a home. Think roofing, electrical, plumbing, windows and doors, siding, etc. With this program, we offer repairs that if not completed, may otherwise result in displacement for the homeowner.
Our Safe at Home Program focuses on the safety and independence within a home. Think about your aging relatives or folks with limited mobility for any reason. Ramps, railings, grab bars, and fire-safety installations make up the bulk of this work. We're also able to offer smaller home repairs through this program, like repairing or replacing exterior stairs, porches, or decks.
We don't stop there, though. We don't just want to keep folks in their homes, we want homeowners to have safe and healthy neighborhoods to raise their families in, too. We're able to support this through our Community Revitalization Program.
Our Community Revitalization Program focuses on ensuring Minnesotans have safe and thriving public spaces to play, learn, and grow in. Think parks, community centers, schools, other nonprofits, and even small businesses. Investing in our neighbors means investing in our neighborhoods, too.
When one neighbor struggles, it impacts us all. Rebuilding Together, our national organization, was founded by a spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. We aim to embody that same spirit in all the work that we do. Today, we're asking you to join us in that effort towards rebuilding homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives!
