Quota International of Minneapolis

Quota International of Minneapolis is a nonprofit service organization supporting disadvantaged women and children, and deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired individuals. 

Founded in 1919, Quota International is one of the oldest international service organizations for women. The Minneapolis organization was started in 1930 and currently has 20 members.

Quota supports economically and through volunteerism these local organizations:

• People Serving People helps homeless and at-risk children and their families manage crisis situations and build a strong foundation for their long-term success.
• School District 196. After school learning resources and social programs for children who are deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind
• Can Do Canines for their work with dogs which support and empower individuals in need of a service dog and service dog training 
• Victims of sex trafficking. Quota supports local organizations in their efforts to provide emergency shelter beds, housing and services to youth and young adults.  The Link, Avenues for Homeless Youth, Rivers of Hope and Heartland Ranch offer services grounded in best practices for working with sexually exploited youth. These include trauma-informed care, harm reduction, positive youth development, victim-survivor-leader model and culturally inclusive services.

Quota also partners with Keystone Interpreting Solutions and Deaf Equity to host the annual “Signing Santa” afternoon, an opportunity for deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing youth to share holiday wishes with their favorite holiday personality.
