Quatrefoil Library is special not only for its legacy as one of the oldest free LGBTQ+ lending-libraries in the nation, but that we have and continue to be entirely volunteer-led and run. That’s right – nearly forty years of championing access to LGBTQ+ literature, materials, and media – all carefully curated through the support and engagement of our community. 

In the wake of books and resources with supportive LGBTQ+ content being restricted around the nation, Quatrefoil plays a critical role in making them available to all through our e-book and audiobook collections. These digital resources ensure that even people living in area where supportive resources are being challenged can access the critical, life-transforming materials.
