Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Minnesota (PPSM) is the voice in Minnesota for mental health during & after pregnancy. PPSM is also the state chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI).

We connect anyone who is struggling to local support & quality resources, along with providing reassurance that you are not alone. Through a strong partnership with the mental health community, we ensure the best care for parents and families. We are a volunteer organization paving the way for perinatal mental health, and setting the standard for care nationwide.

Our Mission

We are a trusted ally for families and practitioners, providing support, advocacy, awareness, and training. We are the organization in Minnesota paving the way for perinatal mental health.

Please support our mission with your donations and your time!

Resource List

At PPSM, we are working to break the silence and stigma associated with mental health during the perinatal period. We are revamping our community resource list of support organizations, mental health providers and prescribers, and integrative health providers, including chiropractors, acupuncturists, midwives, and doulas. Our providers are here to listen, to support you, and to help guide you in your recovery.

Minnesota's Professional Directory

One benefit of membership with PPSM is a listing in the Minnesota Professional Directory, a robust directory of experts with training and experience working with individuals experiencing PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders). Our directory is an easy place to find clinicians who can help with: mental health (therapy and psychiatry), birth and postpartum doula care, breastfeeding medicine and lactation support, and more.

Commitment & Connection to the Community

PPSM is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Our organization's success and ability to advocate for proper care and treatment for women, men and families struggling with PMADs is based on our members, volunteers, and financial contributions.
