Pink Cloud Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, that provides financial assistance, support services, and other resources to those transitioning to sober-housing from in-patient drug/alcohol treatment facilities.
We also partner with other nonprofit organizations from across the metro area to assist those seeking long-term recovery from substance abuse and other mental disorders.
Pink Cloud Foundation derived its name from "Pink Cloud Syndrome", which is defined as the “state of mind, usually experienced in early sobriety (Day 14 to 45), characterized by unusual happiness and grandiosity in spite of rather difficult life circumstances.”
Its also important to note that a person's highest likelihood of relapse is during this "Pink Cloud" phase. Coincidentally, this is also when most patients are discharged from their treatment programs.
Pink Cloud Foundation's vision is to make the transition from a drug/alcohol rehabilitation facility to sober-living as easy as possible. Alleviating the immediate financial burden on these individuals helps to allow them to stay focused on their recovery, mental health, and overall well-being.
Our belief, is that a smooth transition into sober-housing greatly reduces the chance of relapse during this critical, and overwhelming, time of change.
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions and resources to those seeking assistance during their recovery.
