Pawsitivity Service Dogs for Veterans is a nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. We rescue dogs and train them as service dogs for U.S. veterans living with PTSD and other disabilities.

Our service dogs help veterans regain independence, confidence, and daily stability. Each dog is carefully trained and placed with a veteran at no cost to the veteran.

Since 2012, Pawsitivity has provided highly trained service dogs that assist veterans in practical, life-changing ways. These dogs can help interrupt PTSD episodes, support mobility challenges, and provide steady companionship that reduces isolation.

Veterans face complex and overlapping challenges after military service. Many struggle with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and physical disabilities. Service dogs can play a meaningful role in helping veterans navigate daily life more safely and independently.

Since 2012, we have specially trained service dogs to provide in a variety of ways, including:

•    Alerting to triggers: Pawsitivity service dogs are trained to alert their veterans to triggers that cause PTSD episodes.

•    Providing physical support: Pawsitivity service dogs can help veterans with mobility issues, such as providing balance or assistance with getting in and out of vehicles.

•    Providing emotional support: These service dogs can provide companionship and emotional support to veterans who are struggling with PTSD or other mental health issues.
