Partners for Affordable Housing provides shelter for homeless families and women, and helps them to secure economically viable long-term housing.
A partner of the community since 1984, Partners for Affordable Housing is well-experienced in providing housing for vulnerable populations. PAH owns and operates a number of scattered site housing facilities that provide emergency, transitional and permanent affordable housing options to homeless and/or at-risk individuals and families in the Mankato area.
The Theresa House and Welcome Inn emergency shelters serve women and families experiencing a temporary housing crisis. The average length of stay is 60 days. At the shelters, families have a private bedroom and receive case management and other supportive services as they begin their journey to their own permanent housing.
The transitional and permanent housing options are available to those who qualify at below Market Rate Rental prices, to reduce the barrier that housing creates for low-income housing. We also offer case management in these housing options as well, which includes goal setting, connecting to other area resources like food, health care and legal support, as well as bugeting. We work to address barriers in order to support permanent, stable housing for the future.
