We work toward a city where biking, walking, and rolling are easy and comfortable for everyone.

Our city is navigating a pandemic, confronting a long history of racism, and taking action to limit the impacts of the climate crisis. At Our Streets Minneapolis, we're building the equitable, sustainable transportation system our communities need now and for the future.

We envision a city where everyone can get around in the way that works best for them. For over ten years we've worked toward our vision of Minneapolis through:

  • Local advocacy to make Minneapolis streets better places to bike, walk, and roll like County Streets for People, our community-centered campaign to transform streets owned and operated by Hennepin County like Franklin Ave, Lake St, & West Broadway Ave. Since launching last year, we’ve already secured improvements on Lyndale Ave S and Lowry Ave NE.
  • Hosting Open Streets Minneapolis events in communities across the city
  • Organizing the communities near Interstate 94 and the Olson Memorial Highway to create a better future beyond urban highways. We launched these projects this year with a long term vision to restore the communities that once thrived along these corridors.
  • Leading programs like Minneapolis Bike Month & #HealthyTripsHealthyCity to encourage more folks to walk, bike, & roll

We depend on generous, forward-thinking people like you to bring our vision to life. Give today to keep us moving forward!
