Options Inc

Options, Inc. is a private, nonprofit offering services that develop and maintain life skills for people with developmental disabilities or related conditions so individuals can fully participate in their community. We serve people with a wide range of abilities and interests and do everything we can to support individualized, person-centered services both in and outside of Options, Inc.

We are committed to empowering and supporting adults with disabilities in living and working in the mainstream of community life.

The main goal of Day Services is to support people in becoming involved in their community. Options provides opportunities for people to explore interests through enriched activities both in center and throughout their community. Individuals work together with staff to identify interests, set up community engagement opportunities that are meaningful and foster independence. 

We focus on enriching the life of each participant by building upon his or her interests, skills, knowledge, unique strengths and abilities:

• Cooking 
• Art
• Yoga
• Music
• Volunteer opportunities in the community
• Support in the areas of self-care, communication and interpersonal skills
• Access to adaptive equipment & assistive technology
• Additional specialized supports for people with autism, health, and safety needs

We also provide educational opportunities in Self-Advocacy, the ability to speak up for yourself and for things that are important to and for you. Self-Advocacy means you know your rights and responsibilities to make choices that affect your life. At Options, we provide a variety of self-advocacy education that supports public awareness through community involvement such as legislative efforts, teaching others about rights, and giving back to local community through food and toy drives. We also partner with Climb Theatre and other facilitators to support our efforts. Your donation helps with the cost of these opportunities and we appreciate your support!
