$12,000 Goal
We are so grateful for your support of Hope House and safe housing for teens. We also have exciting news to share. Hope House is expanding. We've broken ground this month on our new and improved Hope House, located right next to the current home. Teens will continue to be served throughout construction, and in the late spring of 2026 they will move into the new space. We are truly thrilled to provide safe housing that promotes healing and thriving for every young person who walks through our doors.
This Give to the Max Day, we have an amazing opportunity. An anonymous donor has offered a $2,500 matching gift, and we are working hard to raise the full amount so we can unlock it. Every dollar you give helps us reach that goal and allows your generosity to go twice as far.
Hope House has served more than 870 teens through housing stays since we opened. That is 870 opportunities to meet a young person with love, safety, and stability. We have also answered over 3,700 calls from teens and families seeking support and guidance.
Open Hands Foundation exists so our community can thrive. We create and support solutions that meet the urgent needs of vulnerable people, offer hope to our neighbors, and make a lasting difference in the Southwest Metro. Hope House, located in Chanhassen, is the only emergency teen shelter west of Highway 494 in the West Metro.
During their stay, teens ages 14 to 19 receive meals, safe housing, goal setting, tutoring, job application and interview support, and care for their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. This holistic approach gives them what they need to begin healing and to thrive when they leave Hope House.
Join us in making sure no youth is without a warm, safe, and stable place to sleep tonight.
