Every day for over 40 years, NeighborWorks Home Partners has helped families achieve and maintain their dream of homeownership. Our work specifically focuses on supporting underserved communities and we are working to eliminate the racial disparity in homeownership rates in Minnesota, one person at a time. 

You can be an important partner of this exciting and important work – making homeownership opportunity available to all, strengthening communities, and helping people stay in their homes – by supporting us with a one-time or recurring donation.

We support homeownership in three key program areas:

• BUY
  Our homeownership advising, homebuyer education, and homebuyer readiness counseling prepare homebuyers for the biggest investment of their lives and prepares people to qualify for a mortgage. The first mortgage and down payment assistance programs put ownership within reach.
• FIX
  We offer affordable and accessible home improvement financing that helps homeowners make repairs and updates, improve safety, and make modifications that let them age in peace.
• KEEP
  When changes in income or mortgages put a home at risk of foreclosure, our HUD-certified counselors work with homeowners to find a solution to preserve their investment.

In the last year alone, NWHP assisted 1,338 families in our homeownership programming and, through this work, created 372 new homeowners while preserving housing for 76 families. This included providing 77 families with a home improvement loan totaling $2,295,000 in funds as well as 279 down payment loans totaling $5,370,268 to help LMI families buy a home.  This also included educating 578 families on homeownership and providing counseling to an additional 337 families in this area.  Through this work, we created 372 new homeowners and preserved housing for 76 families, culminating in $112,965,529 of direct investment into our community.
