NRRC is brimming with gratitude and optimism for the future of healthy urban living in North Minneapolis!

Be a part of the Northside’s sustainability transformation today!

NRRC is growing! Help expand the Demonstration Site for Healthy Urban Living with a gift that will directly support NRRC in building a community eco-studio space.

In August of 2019, we completed the renovation of a 100 year old home to become the new NRRC Headquarters. We are now in Phase II of our plan, implementing our Demonstration Site for Healthy Urban Living. In the past year, we have made significant progress on the site, thanks to your help!

Previous GiveMN donations have funded the installation of a Little Library, fence repairs, and a permanent chicken run while allowing us to maintain the upkeep of our water cistern, rain garden, and vegetable patch.

This year’s Give to the Max Day is dedicated to our youth green team and their Demonstration Site facilities. NRRC is building a community studio space, which will be the heart of community knowledge in healthy urban living. Just as our headquarters space has transformed from an abandoned lot into a beautiful, functional office space, our garage will be a warm, inviting studio space for community members to teach and learn together.

Your gifts today will help support the green team's work and create the most beautiful, energy efficient studio space designed with the comfort and needs of our residents in mind.

We are thrilled about our progress, which has been driven by our dedicated green youth team. We look forward to this spring when we will begin hosting Chicken Parties*, maintaining our boulevard pollinator gardens, and expanding our vegetable gardens. Check out the timeline and images below to follow the Demonstration Site's progression. We are grateful for your support and look forward to the Demonstration Site being a community resource for generations to come!
