Our Mission: The Northland Foundation invests in people and communities to support a thriving northeast Minnesota.
Through grants to nonprofits, loans to businesses, our KIDS PLUS Program, assisted living for rural older adults, and special initiatives, Northland has been a partner to the people, businesses, and communities of the region. We serve a large, rural area that includes Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and Itasca counties, as well as three Tribal Nations: Bois Forte Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and Grand Portage Band of Chippewa.
With the help of engaged community members and donors who believe in our mission, the Northland Foundation continues to grow as a resource and advocate for northeastern Minnesota.
