Annual Campaign to support scholarship fund.

Contributions to the Y's Annual mp provide financial support to our neighbors.  Your donation will ensure that all Y programs, services and membership is accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.  Since the new facility opened in August, 2014, An average of 700 individuals have received scholarships every month. Please consider making a gift that will make an impact on local community members.  Helping our neighbors is so important.  

The key reasons community members ask for scholarships:  unemployment or a reduction in income, low income, medical debt, student loans, bankruptcy, home foreclosure, failed businesses, single parenthood, and health issues. The following are some examples of YMCA scholarship requests:

"My spouse has a seasonal job and I just lost my job. Our kids are in Y programs. They love the programs and want to continue participating in them."

"I am in the process of getting a divorce and just had major surgery. A YMCA membership will help my child experience a healthy, balanced lifestyle and I want to become healthy too."

"My son is severely autistic. I am hoping he can attend Y summer camp. It will provide good interaction with others."

"I have been unemployed and want to have a healthy lifestyle and lose weight."

"As a single parent, I would like my kids to have the chance to be in a stable program that will help develop their communication skills."
