Since 2012, Northern Starz has been the creative heartbeat of Ramsey, MN — a nonprofit home where imagination takes center stage and every person is invited to shine. We believe the performing arts are more than entertainment — they’re a powerful force that builds confidence, fosters belonging, and unites our community across generations.

Every year, hundreds of students — from preschoolers taking their first bow to adults rediscovering their love of the stage — step into our theater and discover something life-changing: their voice. Through theater, music, and dance, our performers learn courage, empathy, teamwork, and the joy of self-expression. These are lessons that last far beyond the spotlight.

But this year, the stage lights are dimming. With recent cuts to vital arts grants, we face a funding gap that threatens the programs that mean so much to so many. As a nonprofit, we depend on community support to keep tuition affordable, ticket prices low, and opportunities open to everyone, regardless of background or ability.
