Introducing The Minnesota Latino Museum: Honoring Heritage, Inspiring Generations

The Minnesota Latino Museum (MLM) will be the first museum in our state dedicated to celebrating the rich arts, history, and cultural heritage of the more than 400,000 Minnesotans of Mexican and Latin American descent. Rooted in community and driven by creativity, MLM will serve as a vibrant cultural hub that uplifts Latino voices and fosters deeper cross-cultural understanding across Minnesota.

With Mexican and Latino arts and culture at its core, the Museum will feature dynamic exhibitions from local, national, and international artists, alongside a permanent exhibit highlighting the powerful story of Minnesota Latinos—beginning with the historic West Side of Saint Paul, the state’s original Latino barrio. The museum experience will extend beyond its walls, offering an outdoor Sculpture Park, a community market, a year-round green space, a performance venue, and a dedicated artist residency program.

Led by the nonprofit (Neo)Muralismos de México (NMM), the Museum will be located on Saint Paul’s Harriet Island Regional Park in the heart of the West Side Flats—an area rich in history and spirit. Supported by the City of Saint Paul and its Parks & Recreation Department, this visionary project is now launching its founding fundraising campaign to bring this long-overdue institution to life.

Join us in building a space where stories are honored, creativity flourishes, and community thrives. Your support will help us establish a landmark for cultural pride, artistic expression, and generational connection.
