MyTurn AntiDiscrimination Advocacy

A nonprofit organization

$40 raised by 2 donors

MyTurn Anti-Discrimination Advocacy was founded to offer education and resources to those who have experienced discrimination in employment, housing, and other situations. A study conducted by the Minnesota House Research has suggested that proactive education about how racial discrimination shows up would result in more individuals recognizing and bringing discrimination claims.

These forums take place both in person and virtually and include printed materials as deliverables. These forums provide individuals with the means and knowledge to identify racial discrimination when it occurs. These forums will also educate individuals about what evidence needs to be gathered in these instances. MyTurn also provides resource advocacy to individuals who have experienced discrimination.

MyTurn offers a 24-hour hotline for individuals experiencing discrimination crisis.

Finally, resources will be provided advising how to properly report these instances to move towards an acceptable remedy. MyTurn solicits donations to provide resources and referrals to aid individuals experiencing bias in employment, housing, education or other issues of inequity due to racial discrimination and enhance the capabilities of the MyTurn hotline. The vision is to expand the footprint nationally educating more survivors of discrimination by marketing the MyTurn hotline and services. Additionally, MyTurn will collect data and conduct or support research in discrimination.
