You help us make the world's most poetic films.

It was a love of poetry that inspired animator Angella Kassube to turn one of Todd Boss's poems into a short film in 2008. Today, nearly 100 films later, that same passion drives Motionpoems, the film company they co-founded to give poets and filmmakers a bold new platform for collaboration.

Prize-winning poets, major publishers, and top production companies are getting involved with Motionpoems today, but our focus remains the same: Give poems to filmmakers, and step back!  

Magic happens when we challenge filmmakers to use poems as scripts. Our projects develop careers, impact public discourse and change lives. We support diversity too: In 2015 all our poets are women; in 2016 they'll all be black.
