Mission:

To inspire and empower young women and girls to embrace and develop their personal strengths to improve the quality of life for themselves and their community

Vision:

Provide young women and girls with opportunities and resources that create pathways to achieve their full potential.

What we do:

JOY connects with young women and girls in middle school and high school, encouraging healthy relationships and good decision-making skills. We strive to build leaders in their schools and communities.

How We Do it:

Weekly 1 ½ hour evening meetings within the school year with the young ladies

Restorative Justice Peace-Keeping Circles encouraging peer support and voice

Academic/ Life coaching to provide a connection to another caring adult

Partnering with Community Enrichment and other out-reach programs to build an awareness of individual interests and positive relationships between the youth and community within a safe space

Participating in Community Service projects

Attending Community and Cultural Events
