What is Minnesota Collegiate DECA?

Minnesota Collegiate DECA is the Minnesota post-secondary branch of DECA, Inc. Through our programming, college students interested in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, and hospitality prepare to become the next generation of leaders in business and beyond. 

Who do we serve? 

Students interested in leadership and business who are attending 2-year and 4-year colleges in Minnesota, including PSEO and non traditional students. 

How do we prepare the next generation of leaders? 

Through educational conferences and programming that include learning, competitive, and networking opportunities for members. Whether through a workshop or a competition based on real world scenarios, our members develop and hone the skills they will need to become the next generation of leaders. These opportunities connect them with industry experts and potential employers paving the way for future success.

Why does the work we do matter? 

As we all know, good leadership matters and the sooner you begin your leadership journey the better. Through our work, our members gain access to networking and learning opportunities that go beyond the classroom and helps pave a path to success, confidence and becoming ethical leaders.  Regardless of background, the opportunity to learn, succeed, and lead is open to all of our members.

Each of our members has the potential to grow beyond their current circumstances and our alumni, who remain active throughout their lifetime, are the living proof of the positive impact that Minnesota Collegiate DECA has on our member's lives and on the lives of those who they will lead in the future.

There are many ways to be a part of the work we do.

In 2021, we are focusing on acquiring the technology needed to provide access to all potential members regardless of economic, medical, or cultural status. We are working to purchase 10 Chromebooks to allow for better virtual and hybrid conference experiences!
