IMPROVING CONDITIONS FOR YOUTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT
IMPROVING CONDITIONS and TO BE GOOD STEWARDS of OUR NATURAL RESOURCES
Our Metro Quail Forever Chapter is dedicated to working with youth (and adults) in our area to help in "IMPROVING CONDITIONS" in our society. We see the need to improve conditions in neighborhoods, our families, our schools and youth's attitude about life in general.
When it comes to the environment, we see the need to improve wildlife habitat, which is disappearing at an alarming rate, so much so that the number of many grassland bird species (including the bobwhite quail) are at very low levels compared to 6-7 decades ago. Most scientists attribute these declines to habitat loss. We have access to property here in the Twin Cities that will enable the youth to "IMPROVE CONDITIONS" for many forms of wildlife. We believe this act of stewardship will help the inner being of the youth as well as the wildlife.
One of the first steps of helping to "Improve Conditions" is to get the youth outdoors. Our chapter's aim is to help them appreciate the outdoors and all it has to offer: the birds, trees, lakes and streams, the hills, fields, woods, insects, and to be good stewards of our natural resources. We are trying to provide wholesome recreational activities and service projects like planting trees, etc. for our youth ages 8-17 years of age.
