$20,000 Goal

Minnesota knows how to show up for people!

Our annual giving holiday, Give to the Max Day, is evidence of that!

This year we have a tall ask, we are working to raise $20,000 before we welcome 2023.

As incarceration rates continue to rise, the need for our services inside facilities across MN also continues to rise.

As we rise up to meet the needs of parents on the inside, we are also focused on reentry support more than ever for parents leaving incarceration.

We could not continue our mission of working in compassionate solidarity with parents involved in the criminal legal system to create community, opportunity, and change without the support of our beautiful community.

Join us in supporting our clients this giving season.

Your donations fund access to alternative healing in pregnancy, clothing, transportation, groceries, and hygiene items for clients, staff equity training, parenting education, and more.

The Minnesota Prison Doula Project (MnPDP) was founded in 2008. We provide support and education services to incarcerated parents across Minnesota. We work inside correctional facilities, offering doula services, prenatal & parenting education, individual peer counseling, supportive in-person visitation, reentry support groups.

Thank you for helping to build a stronger community by supporting those affected by incarceration!

Ostara Initiative (OI) is the parent organization of MnPDP and also the Alabama Prison Birth Project. We exist to collectively transform systems by reimagining justice, advancing health, and reclaiming dignity in our policies and practices for all pregnant and parenting people.
