The Covid-19 pandemic affected Minnesota State College Southeast students in many ways - from interrupting their education to losing income from their jobs. Even though the situation has eased, students are still struggling.
Minnesota State College Southeast Foundation provides emergency financial support directly to students in need. Cash grants and gift cards can be distributed very rapidly with a minimum of administrative delay.
This year during Give to the Max, we are dedicating donations received to increasing the availability of MSC Southeast Foundation Emergency Funds, so we can continue to meet the needs of our students.
Examples of emergencies include situations such as:
Thank you for supporting our students in this time of urgent need!
The Foundation’s Scholarship Program is designed to increase access to higher education by making college more affordable. Scholarship applications are reviewed by members of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee, comprised of community volunteers, who evaluate more than 200 applications each year. Applications are considered on the basis of professional goals, accomplishments, grade point average and other qualifications, including financial need.
The Minnesota State College Southeast Foundation was founded in July of 1999 with the merger of the Red Wing Technical College Foundation and the Winona Technical College Foundation. Since the merger, the Foundation has established an endowment valued at over $2.7 million, which is comprised of over 30 endowed scholarship funds and board restricted funds. The Foundation is a 501 C (3) organization governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors.
