The Minnesota Social Service Association (MSSA) supports the health and human service profession in Minnesota through advocacy, education, and member benefits. MSSA is a member-based organization, representing over 4000 individuals and 150 agencies statewide. Every day, MSSA members help Minnesota’s most vulnerable individuals and communities. Our members provide critical, life-changing supports, including mental health treatment, drug and alcohol counseling, disability and aging services, housing, financial services, employment, foster care, adoption, and more.

The individual work of our members, combined with MSSA’s advocacy at the state Capitol, makes a powerful difference in the lives of Minnesotans.

In order to create meaningful change, we need both dedicated health and human service providers as well as equitable, inclusive public policies. That’s why MSSA advocates on behalf of the health and human service system so that ALL Minnesotans can thrive and that our members have the resources they need to do their jobs well. Our work at the state Capitol reduces systemic barriers, builds connections, raises awareness, and enhances people’s lives.

As a grassroots organization, our strength comes from our members across Minnesota. Funding for our public policy program doesn’t come from giant industries or corporations—it comes from people like YOU! Your gift helps transform lives and improve communities. Thanks for supporting MSSA!
