We donate the majority of the money we raise to environmental education projects within the Minnesota River Valley, primarily for children.

Our Mission is to provide leadership in promoting environmental awareness, education, and advocacy action especially relating to the wildlife and habitats of the Minnesota River Valley.

We work closely with the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge on many of our projects.  We offer free educational materials to teachers to use in their classrooms.  We also hold monthly meetings that are open to the public where we learn about a variety of subjects that relate to the environment.  We offer nearly 70 field trips per year that are open to the public.  We coordinate annual Christmas Bird Counts and encourage participation in other citizen science projects throughout the year.  We encourage volunteerism and environmental advocacy among our members on issues such as climate change, alternative energy, bird conservation, invasive species, habitat protection and restoration and clean water.
