We advocate for race equity in education in MN, supporting programs and policies that help students of color succeed academically.

Since 1986, Minnesota Minority Education Partnership (MMEP) has focused on shining a light on and reducing opportunity disparities in Minnesota’s K-12 and Higher Education systems.

We are now “Minnesota Education Equity Partnership” (MnEEP)!

From 2015-2018, Minnesota Education Equity Partnership, (formerly MMEP) will be working toward these 5 Big Bold Goals:

Goal 1: Minnesota school systems are culturally responsive in their policies and approaches to education.

Goal 2: Minnesota school climates foster positive student engagement to eliminate discipline gaps by race and support students of color and American Indian students for academic and leadership success.

Goal 3: Minnesota educators reflect student demographics.

Goal 4: Minnesota schools utilize heritage and home language to support academic excellence for English language learners and the multilingualism of all students.

Goal 5: Minnesota institutions of higher education will support student achievement by providing greater access and equity to students of color and American Indian students, with a focus on financial aid equity and students of color and American Indian students.

Support the work with a donation towards education excellence!
