Minnesota Horse Welfare Coalition

The Minnesota Horse Welfare Coalition’s mission is to keep Minnesota’s horses safe at home. 

◆ We provide direct assistance to horse owners experiencing temporary hardship and faced with competing priorities to maintain their horse or, as a last resort, refer affected horses to our Coalition’s equine welfare rescue members for rehoming assistance.

◆ We provide technical assistance in support of law enforcement and animal control officers investigating or charging abuse or neglect cases

◆ We offer expert guidance on policies and laws that impact Minnesota horses and horse owners.

We stand with horses and horse owners to provide timely access to resources before circumstances reach a crisis that disrupts and endangers the well-being of the horse.
