The Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement (MAVA) advances the power of volunteerism to deepen community impact through uplifting community voice, building connections, providing education, and promoting advocacy.

With your donation to MAVA, you are impacting countless organizations and causes across the state by assisting leaders of volunteers in mobilizing volunteers to meet the needs of our communities.

Nearly all non-profit organizations rely on the 1.5 million dedicated volunteers across Minnesota to fulfill their mission. These volunteers are taking on roles of leadership and responsibility in nonprofits to meet the needs of the community such as feeding the hungry, providing disaster relief, animal welfare, and mentoring, coaching, and tutoring programs. 

To support volunteer managers, MAVA offers:

1. Inclusion and racial equity in volunteerism. MAVA is a national leader advocating for diverse and equitable volunteer programs. Your donation can provide funding for our Race Equity in Volunteerism Assessment (R.E.V.A) program and Virtual Dismantling Inequities in Volunteerism Conference (December 7 and 8, 2023).

2. Nationally recognized volunteer training programs provide opportunities for these leaders to develop excellent skills in engaging volunteers and learn the best practices employed by their colleagues across the state.
