Every day during this year of change our Minneapolis parks have helped us navigate a new normal and reconnect us with nature and each other. Thanks to donors like you, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation is here to invest in equitable access to everything our parks have to give.
In 2021, the Minneapolis parks Foundation: opened two major RiverFirst park projects, Water Works and the Overlook at 26th Ave N, launched the new People for Parks Fund Grants, and facilitated inspirational conversations through the Next Generation of Parks Event Series and newly developed Self-Guided Walk & Talks.
Only through a generous community of donors like you, are these transformative projects and programs throughout the city made possible. Please make a donation today in support of the work of the Parks Foundation. Thank you!
About the Minneapolis Parks Foundation
Since 2003, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation has been an independent donor-supported nonprofit dedicated to supporting our continually evolving park system. Today, we bring visionary leadership, philanthropic investment, and private sector expertise to encourage innovation and equity throughout the whole Minneapolis Park system.
Our Projects & Programs
The Minneapolis Parks Foundation creates and implements a range of forward-thinking projects and programs. From the groundbreaking work of the RiverFirst Initiative along the Mississippi River, our Next Generation of Parks (always free, and now virtual) events, the newly implemented self-guided Walk & Talk series, to our continued collaboration with community organizations, we are always exploring and expanding within the parks.
What's Coming Next for the Parks Foundation
Your donation today will also help us forge a deep partnership with neighbors in North Minneapolis to bring to life a new community vision for North Commons Park, one of the oldest, most vibrant and vital parks in the system, with the highest concentration of youth in the city.
