Mill Towns Trail

Mill Towns Trails is a volunteer organization focused on promoting the development and funding of the Mill Towns bike trail from Cannon Falls to Faribault  through Northfield.  Once completed bikers would be able to travel from Mankato to Red Wing on a dedicated bike trail

2021 is an especially exciting year as the city of Northfield has developed a proposal for the bike trail through Northfield from the Riverside Park to the Waterford Bridge.  A request for funding from the state of Minnesota has been submitted by Northfield for consideration during the bonding session in 2022.  Completion of the trail through Northfield would be a major step forward in completing the Mill Towns Trail.

The major activity of our organization this year has been a contributiion of $30,000 to aid in the reconstruction of the Waterford Bridge
