MIGIZI

A nonprofit organization

$97,798 raised by 449 donors

MIGIZI is a Native-led, woman-led organization providing a strong circle of support that nurtures the educational, social, economic and cultural development of American Indian youth.

In 2021, only 58.5% of American Indian students graduated high school in Minnesota. Our programs provide youth with academic and cultural support, both in-school and out-of-schools. We offer paid career training programs that prepare Native youth for jobs in media communication and the green energy sector. Our programs offer youth an opportunity and safe space to culturally identify and develop in a self-directed path of holistic wellness and success in education and employment.

This year, with our big move on the horizon, help us raise $50,000 to support our youth programming and general operations. Donate between now and November 17th and your donation will help fund:

- Our new Green Jobs initiative to teach our youth how to build solar powered free libraries, pantries, and phone chargers for our community members in need

- Season 2 of the youth produced, “You’re Supposed to be Ok” podcast

- MIGIZI's annual trip to Washington DC and the Boundary Waters
