5th Decade of Service: Since 1972 Life Rebuilders (the ministries of Midwest Challenge, Inc.) has been bringing the Good News to the afflicted, strengthening the brokenhearted and proclaiming freedom to those that feel hopeless.  Thus, we as servant-staff are blessed to witness a Christ Centered Transformation; The cleansing of the body. the changing of the heart. the renewing of the mind and the saving of the soul.

History and Path to Today: The founder of the ministry, a Minneapolis police officer saw first-hand the unfortunate high rate of recidivism (returning to prison) and the associated high rate of drug and alcohol relapse coupled with indignity of unemployment.  He knew there was a better way to break the shackles of addiction and the cycle of imprisonment.  Thus, Midwest Challenge was born.  Over the decades, this successful singular mission that faithfully met the needs of the imprisoned expanded by developing additional ministries designated to meet the needs of both men and women with short & long term Transitional Housing. Thus, Life Rebuilders, the Ministries of Midwest Challenge was born.
