Founded on January 26, 2009, Mexico Azteca, under the visionary direction of Edgar Galvan, has been a beacon of Mexican cultural heritage in the Midwest USA. Through the mesmerizing art of folkloric dance, combined with a harmonious blend of ballet and traditional techniques, they bring to life the beauty and essence of Mexico. Our commitment is to create an inspiring and safe space where students of all ages can immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Mexican folklore. 

With a mission to educate, preserve, and inspire, they celebrate Mexico’s vibrant heritage through dance, sharing their profound love for Mexican culture and the arts, awakening in others the passion to explore its wonders. And through storytelling dances, Mexico Azteca connects people to their roots, instilling fundamental values of respect, passion, discipline, unity, and humility in all their members.

Working with newer generations and after COVID 19, our youth and adults specially the undeserve population, the need of mental health need has increase, and we are in need to provide support to them in order to express the phenomenal art and dance movement execution the have inside to share with the world.

This year we're not just asking for support to bring dances to stage, we are asking to helps us rescue our youth and tradition to keep them alive.

For 2025 Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca (Mexico Azteca Inc) will celebrate 16 years of enriching  all communities with the beauty and energy of Mexican Arts through Folk Dance . Our Teacher/Founder/Artistic Director Edgar Galvan has choreograph over 100 dances that bright and delight the beauty of all cultural influences that Mexico has.

Now we are waiting to present at stage once again under Edgar's Galvan direction. Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca is beloved for its artistry and ability to captivate audiences. For 15 years, the company has presented dances reflecting the cultural traditions of Mexico, featuring authentic music and costumes that bring audiences to their feet. The performances draw upon pre-Hispanic rituals as well as folk stories brought to life with the exquisite live music. That is why our GiveMN campaign will center on getting another Noche de Gala project into more theaters throughout the United States. In May 2025, we're planning to bring to stage more captivating dances to the Minnesota communities.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 for

• Therapist fees
• Incentives to create outdoor activities with students in need
• Live Music for the performance showcase
• Marketing materials
• Rehearsal rental fees
• Venue Fees

Your support is very significant to our success as much of our existing funding is project-specific or cannot be spent on activities outside of Minnesota.
